this was a wonderful ending to the story. I like how you didn't fix things between them immediately, that Danny had to face his fear and then go to Steve. and the last scene with the team and Olivia were just lovely. :)

well done all around!

Great story. I think you wrote the case very well, too. :D I loved Danny's POV here and how you depicted Steve through Danny's eyes. And I'm sure Grace will be much happier with Olivia now that she knows Olivia won't take her Danno away from Steve. :)

It's been awhile since I have caught up on LJ and I went looking for this today and it was a treat to read the final chapter.
Lots of lovely angst (my favorite part of any love story) and wonderful humor.

This --

He really should care more about the consequences of a possible visitor, but when he looks down at his partner - boyfriend? Really? -, he forgets about it completely.

-- cracked me up.

And this --

“Seriously, shut up.” Danny laughs quietly, and the next thing he knows, his hand is on the back of Steve’s neck and he’s pulling him closer.

-- is a lovely moment of tension just before the kiss. Delicious!

Ah! I finally finished this. I got out of Hawaii 5-0 for a few months, but I'm glad I'm back.
This was great! You developed the OCs really well and there was great case/personal life interaction.
I really enjoyed reading this :)
