It's almost the end of the season, but I'm really backlogged. =P I saw
lucathia_rykatu put up her list (which does a better job about describing the shows because I don't at all! XD), so I felt like putting up mine as well.
*Marked my "must watch" list for this season in magenta.
Watching current new season:
Recorder to Randsell - Started watching it for Okiayu voicing Atsushi. Sometimes the eps are interesting, sometimes not so interesting. But only about 5 minutes per ep, so that's fine with me.
Area no Kishi - Marathoned to catch up on this. Didn't come in with any expectations, but turned out pleasantly surprised. Since I have been following Inazuma Eleven, this came as a more realistic version of soccer. As much as I didn't like their use of the plot twist in the beginning, the series seems to be good.
Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai - Used a similar plot twist like Area no Kishi. I can't really think of much to say about the show.
Ano Natsu de Matteru - From the title alone, I thought this might be one of those cliche shows, but wow was I thrown a curveball in the first ep. Otherwise, this show equates to AnoHana + ToraDora + Onegai Teacher, at least to me. =)
Senki Zesshou Symphogear - Yet another show that has similar plot twist like Area no Kishi and PapaKiki in the first episode. The feel of the show is much like MadoMagi, but toned down, and they sing as they fight. While I think the singing is supposed to be important to the show, the fact that they are singing... my ears are already starting to tune it out...
Another - Suspense and horror, not usually my thing. The dolls creep me out so badly; I'm bad with dolls, especially those types. The main character looks like Shu from Guilty Crown. There are definitely parts that grossed me out, to the point where I had to cover my mouth while watching. The nightmare part was really graphic, too. Not as bad as Blood-C, but still nightmarish graphic. What makes the show scary though, is the ambiance and mood created by the music, sometimes lack of music or sound, and the muted and dulled colors. Like how they depict the school broken down and rusty, the hospital with the dim or lack of lighting. The explanation of the paranormal makes it sounds so close to normal that it's creepy because you can't tell the difference...
Amigami SS Plus - Watching this because I watched SS. There has to be conflict, otherwise it couldn't last 2 eps per girl, lol.
Watching from previous season:
Kimi to Boku - I save up eps to watch when I want to watch something peaceful and mundane. Heard it's getting a 2nd season. =)
Persona 4 - I liked some of the middle episodes, but now I'm just wondering how it's going to end. *hasn't played the game yet*
Chihayafuru - The show is quickly catching up to the manga. Not sure how they'll end it.
Hunter x Hunter - Show's pretty interesting. Starting to show things a little darker, but the depictions still make it for the younger crowd, right?
SKET Dance - I like that there are serious background episodes every now and then.
Bakuman S2 - Almost time for PCP's turn! But it's almost the end of season 2... does that mean there might be a 3rd season for PCP? =D
Phi Brain - I do like this show and would recommend it. Though, up until recently, the show was going pretty strongly, but I feel like as it's nearing the end of the show, it's not as attention grabbing. I hope that it ends strong and that the lull right now is just to build up for a big bang at the end.
Queued from previous season:
Guilty Crown - I stopped watching pretty early on but am still queuing the show.
Last Exile Fam - Haven't started on this but mostly haven't heard much reaction to the show.
Mirai Nikki - Since I know that this is dark, I'll have to couple it with some light-hearted show afterwards so I end with good thoughts, lol.
Inazuma Eleven GO - Getting way behind. I haven't watched any of the new eps since I watched the movie (which took place after the last ep that I did watch).
Queued from new season:
Natsume Yuujinchou Shi - Haven't started on season 4 yet, but hearing lots of good stuff about it. =) I'd probably watch this after Mirai Nikki just to balance out the dark and light, haha.
Inu x Boku SS - Also haven't started on this, but hearing good things about it, too.
Stuff to finish:
Working!! S2 - Don't remember where I am, but saving this for when I want a laugh.
Just finished:
C3 - Was very wishy-washy about this show. It had nice colors, but story-wise, I was going to drop it until one of the main characters went berserk (I thought that was a really interesting twist), but then it really turned harem anime, and the story got a weak again. The ending was the kind that does introduction to the light novels but just leaves you there. There was quite a bit of fanservice as well, catering to a variety of areas... I do like how they tied in the school festival dance to the first OP, though. =)
