I spent entirely too much time watching his scenes to try to get his voice. He really is a bit of a pain sometimes. When Buffy gave him the verbal smackdown for wasting her time in Part II, I was sort of cheering her on. ;)

These are all really interesting. I wonder how far ahead Whistler is thinking in his foreshadowing? With Spike, the choice he makes is hours (if that) away, but with Willow, Xander, and Giles, the issues might surface in a small way in the immediate emergency, but they don't really bear fruit (even if spoiled fruit) for years. It's a bit of a head-spinner! Anyway, fantastic job.
I'm going to try to get to your S2 piece soon. (It's a little kink of mine to see those Spuffy seeds sown early.)

I *think* I was imagining that Whistler's words could stretch all the way through such decisions as getting his soul and even wearing the amulet (and really, I suppose, even beyond that as well, to what happens afterward in LA). That "None of us is finished, not until our time here is done" was my way of trying to push this issue of making decisions into the future.
