I saw that movie too about a year ago, and loved it. It made me feel creepy but it was beautiful and interesting how the two women depended on each other so completely, and the hold that the mother maintained on her daughter. I wonder what happened to the daughter once her mother passed away, how she handled it.

I was just reading about that movie the other day. There is a criterion collection available and I was wondering why I never heard of it untill now. I will have to check it out.
