So...

I feel kinda sad about my journal being so empty... but I'm MUCH happier with this account than my previous one ochino

I haven't had a TON of time for Glee (or other) icon-making and whatnot, but here's a few (and I do mean a FEW :/ ) of my latest batch:

There is nothing ironic about show choir )

icons, wallpapers, tv shows: glee

Aww... no more ochino? Sadface.
These came out really nice, Jen! Layout's cool too. And not even just because it's red! Although it is certainly AWESOME. Reminds me of a hotdog, lol.

Lol sorry Ash - I figured it was time to abandon the old account - the CSS was getting to complicated for me to change over and over again after 3 years... Plus this account name is far more generic and doesn't pigeonhole me as much into just one interest :)

Thanks! Although the hot dog thing is purely coincidental - red and yellow are the colors of the show! http://www.fox.com/glee

Thank you! It's a trick I know in Photoshop. I'd be more than happy to explain it if you want :)

oh, I think I would love you, if you did. You can email me at chrissiekins @ sonnenkinder.org if you don't want to explain it here. :)

No prob - I can explain it here:

It's really very simple -
First, crop your image however you want.

Then duplicate the layer of the picture. Depending on the lighting of the picture, you may want to screen the second layer to make it brighter - just merge those two and duplicate so that you have two layers of the same picture.

Set the top layer to Soft Light, then on that same layer, go to Filter > Stylize > Find Edges.

Next - still on that layer - Invert (Ctrl+I) and reduce the opacity to get a cool drawn/painted effect.

Depending on the image, this may or may not work nicely, so play around with brightness, saturation, etc. Can produce some cool stuff!
