I have avoided this too long. I have to admit I was sick of dealing with other people. I didn't want to be a part of this anymore, I wanted to go back to minding my own business and worrying about my personal things, and only my personal things ( Read more... )

Good points Jena!
I think, with my 2 cents...maybe a little more *g*, that people think that the big picture doesn't or doesn't have to involve them, and they realize that real survival is actually focused on later generations. If events don't happen to them now or soon, then why should they care? Crummy attitudes I say, but that's we make movies and plays...so that others maybe possibly will care.

Sometimes it seems people are just rushing things though, trying to live their life as fast as they can, never taking the time to take in things that aren't huge and eventful. I'm just wondering where all this hurrying is coming from, because some people seem to think that when life ends everything ends, so why are they in a hurry to finish it?

Are you online by the way?

Are you sure that it's the people rushing things? To me, it feels more like things are rushing and I'm just standing there, hoping for the world to slow down a bit.

Well yes, to me it seems like people are always in a hurry, always competing against each other, who's faster, who's stronger, who has more power, etc. Only to get to a certain goal first. Forgetting that the journey and the experience is more important than the final result.
