Help a Computer Geek Wanna-Be

I've been in search of a new computer for several months now and I figured the best time to buy would be Black Friday. So I stood in line for 3.5 hours to make this baby my very own. i think thats like comparing apples with oranges. theres gonna be people dedicated to both sides of the spectrum thatre gonna argue which is better. my best friend and i used to argue about it sometimes...being that shes a mac user.

i, myself, am a pc user.
i think for everyday use...pc is the way to go.
but for like designing and crap...macs work better.

Hey Jen,

Well like I told you the MAC is good if you're really going to get into the design thing, and graphic design. But if you're just going to need to make web graphics and things here and there the PC is the way to go.

The MAC is reliable and is very good for video editing, heavy graphic design and advertising (oh yeah it's not immune to virii - MAC's can get "sick" too).

Another point I'd like to make...with a PC you can get pretty much any software for free (just ask me) and with a MAC...it's harder to get (even though I could get you a few progs).

The choice is yours Jen - I'll still advise you to get a DELL PC if you're going to go the way of the PC and/or get a DELL Notebook. If you still want, I'll still build you your PC with all the high end parts, lights and whatever else you want on it - just lemme know.
