I messed up my knee

I tripped on friday on my way to Blockbuster

Slammed it on the pavement really hard

Couldn't walk on it for a while... I can now....
but it still hurts to five hells and back.

Should it still be hurting?

Now that sounds like something I'd do. "Klutz" is my middle name.

Is it swollen? Have you put anything on it - ice pack? heat? It's possible you twisted it. My next door neighbor landed hard on her knee and ended up with a broken kneecap. Hopefully it's not that serious, and if it's not swollen, I'd be more likely to suspect you twisted it or bruised it.

Last time I did something like that was in a shopping center parking lot. My knee looked like I had a potato on it and I couldn't walk for a while either. I put an ice pack on it as soon as I could and yeah, it hurt for several days.

I'd say try to stay off it as much as possible and, from experience, don't turn around fast when you're standing up. >.<

Get better soon, okay? And Josh sends you a hug and said to tell you he loves you.

Depends. You may have bruised the bone, which will hurt for a while.
That being said, did you cut the leg when you hit it? Did you hit the kneecap itself or just the leg?

Also, if you hit the knee, is there swelling at the knee area or around it? If so, go see a doctor ASAP. That would mean more than a bone bruise.

-> She who has fucked up knees from a fall.

It's not alot od swelling, just a little bit... not noticable if my knee is bended, only if it's straight.

I think it was just the kneecap, the bottom half... though I could be wrong. It dosen't hurt as badly as it did this weekend, and I can walk on it fine, but turning, and going up and down the stairs is killing me... somtimes sitting hurts after a while too.

I dunno... if it's not 95% better by friday i'll go have it x-rayed

Like the other two said, depending it should still be hurting. If it is swollen etc, then I would go and have it x-rayed, if it just hurts I would take pain killers and wait a couple of more days.
