Ok so, I was being cynical and all kinds of mean to myself in the last post. I had been looking into ways to get goverment funding, and got discouraged.

So, let try to explain what it is that I would like to do, but think is near to impossible......

I think that with research it could work. And work well.
What about having kids help design and build the space? Get a hold of an empty building and work with the community to do it.

Do research, ask around and have some positive thoughts. If you believe you will succeed or believe you will fail, you're right.

When I first started thinking about this they had moved the library to the old town hall and had the empty building. Now the building was georgus. the two walls facing traffic were glass windows, and it was a dcecnt size.. not tremendous, but decent... and then they made it into the new Senior Citizens center, mind you they already had one to begin with, and to the best of my knowledge have never had a teen center, which I know the town could benifit from. hmmm... I don't think this is impossible at all. But if I can suggest something, it looks like you are looking at the tail end of what you want (which is good) but I'd look at where you can start ( ... )

Not long at all.. some really good points there...

I could start by finding a Church or High School to work with....
And I know many of the Theatre professors at Middlesex Community that could help me out..... and I might even be helping THEM out, especialyl if I can get on the good side of the professor of the directing class! I can pick off all my directors from his students!
And I have a few (assuming that their still there) connections with the Merrimack Repratory in Lowell that might help.....

Thats not a half-bad start!
I'd have to wait to start this until I got my schedule for days..
Which is in a couple of weeks...

But this could work!

Hey girl,
Middlesex is a realy great start, plus you should look into other area coleges because sometimes in order to get a degree they have do do some sort of internship, volunteer or project like work(not even just preformace art people, but other fields as well. I think salem state has a community development class, I can find out for you :) ... so you get people to work for free! and I would be happy to volunteer my Dancing background later on, if it would be helpful.
