I haven't died or fallen off the face of the earth, really.

But I did have seven chapters of my now ALMOST COMPLETELY FINISHED THESIS to finish. And the only way to finish it in time was to swear off the internet. I played a lot of solitaire (I know, I know) in between data crunching and writing. But I was a good girl, and didn't try to install

Um... don't say that until I've successfully defended. The urge to bolt and never go back to school again is strong, but the job market in Gainesville so bad that I MUST STAY IN SCHOOOOOL.

Tempted to. I feel bad asking busy faculty to read my chapters. And did you ever get my email with three PDFs on functional morphology problems and equations I've used with my students? You never wrote back, and I got busy, and never thought to follow up with you.

welcome back! and congrats on the swearing off of the internets.. i can't do it and i need to so i can concentrate on my classes.

if you have a PC, you can download PDFCreator (it's free!) and print right from just about any program. i have the full version of Adobe on my other computer, but PDFCreator on my laptop. it works great!

Happy to help out with technical questions regarding the reformat. I'm assuming you are stuck using M$ Word because of the footnoting / referencing requirements.

Yes, I am using Word. Learning to link things is next on my agenda (although I think such is done as a PDF and not word docs) ...I may indeed have questions for you.
