I've spent, collectively, a solid hour at work today playing with this website an entomologist sent me. For maximum fun, place a bunch of dead flies in random spots around the map and watch him gorge.

Awesome!

Makes me want to get another tarantula. I don't think the gf would approve, though.

I used to have a Chilean Red, many years ago. Alas, it perished while under the care of my roommate in the Army.

I want this either as a screen saver or an add-on to flyswatter.

The original was a DOS-era game that was basically a blank screen. A little fly sprite would appear somewhere randomly on the screen, and you would have a couple seconds to "swat" it by clicking on it with your mouse, which looked roughly like a pound sign. If you did not get it in time, it would disappear. If you did get it, it would leave a little dead body. The body would hang around until a new fly happened to appear over the same spot and disappear, leaving a chunk of the dead fly graphic missing. My 10 year old mind concluded the new fly had eaten the dead one. A roving tarantula you had to avoid hitting would be much cooler for cleanup.

Nowadays versions of the game have gotten a bit more sophisticated:
