How they took a great page turner of a book and turned it into a bore I'll never know. I just spent 2 1/2 hours trapped in one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. They left out half of the interesting history and Tom Hanks was wildly miscast. Without major spoilers I don't know what else to say except bleh!

I kinda liked it, but I just started reading the book not too long ago. I'm liking the book better though.

Yeah pretty much the same reaction here in Ireland but it was booked out at our local cimena this weekend.
Hate going to a movie and wanting those 2.5 hours back!
Forget the DVD - I'm waiting until it's on television before I watch it - while ironing!
