Three days with kitty

I think it's going well. Cassie seems to be settling in nicely. He's getting used to the litter box in the garage, to the kitty door which is taped open right now. The toughest thing is that he's used to being an indoor-outdoor kitty and he's had to stay inside. It's not safe for him to go outside in my neighborhood. Too many cars, too many ( Read more... )

He *is* adorable! I will take some pics and post them so you can see how adorable. We've discovered bonito flakes, which send him into a tizzy he loves them so much. *g*

BTW, did you ever get any Uncle Bonsai? If not, I have some cds to send you. E-mail me your address if you still want them!

Oh! My group did another Maddy Prior tune in our last show...Rain. I wish we'd gotten a recording of the show, but sadly we didn't. :o(

I'm glad he's adjusting, I think he probably knows why he's there. As for going outside, why don't you get him a harness and a leash (a retractable one so he can wander a bit) and then go out and sit with him on the patio while he explores.

Thanks, tree. I think we're going to try a harness and leash. He's really anxious to get outside. N found some good instructions on how to introduce an older cat to a harness...wish us luck. ;o)

when we put the harness on Whisper you would have thought we had thrown holy water on a demon. Max went into Martyr mode and just laid down with a "just go ahead and kill me now" expression. Whisper now gets excited when she sees the harness because she associates it with going places and she loved it when we took her to my mom's house over Christmas.

Yay for kittiness! I'm very much looking forward to meeting him. :) And let me know if you need an extra pair of hands building his outdoor safe place.

Lucy was the same way...she would have nothing to do with a walking harness.
I've been a little worried because he's done nothing but sleep on the back of the couch all day, but then I remember that he's a cat. *g* Today's the first day I've been home during the day since we brought him home...he's probably been like this every day and I just haven't seen it because I've been at work.
You know, I can see Duzie doing the death scene from Camille. ;o)
