Sweet! Is your home protected by the state that it gives you money to fix it? That's a good deal if so. :D

Norm works for the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection. (State Park Service). The house is actually INSIDE Stokes State Forest. We get to live here at reduced cost b/c Norm provides in-kind services for the park cabins nearby. So what that means, is, if something goes wrong for one of the people who have rented a cabin (such as locking themselves out) Norm is on-call to help. Kind of like a super in an apartment.
The house actually belongs to the state, and we rent. It's been awhile since any maintenance was done on the house, so when we moved in, they allocated some money for the changeover, so that it meets specs.

I love living here - I can look out my office window here and see hummingbirds, cardinals, turkeys, deer, bears, hawks, etc. We can walk the 100 yards down to Lake Occquitunk and have lunch in the gazebo out there.

I think I may have asked that stupid question before. So I'm appreciative of your answering again. :)

That's really cool. We don't have quite that great a view out of our window, but we do have privacy fence and our office windows look out onto some "forest" in the next lot.
