Being American...

So, I decided that I was being unfair by deciding I hated the American version of Being Human without having seen it. I knew they were planning to follow the same story on a different continent, and I just didn't think it would work. I was right. I have little to add to this beyond--yeah. Exactly. :)

Oh, and the one other change, which may just be a factor of the actual actors, is that Mitchell is completely scruffy while Aidan is perfectly shaven and coiffed and clothed. That actually does work a bit, though I think the perfect middle ground would have been for the vampire to be perfectly clean-shaven and coiffed--he's a vamp, after all, it's not like he's growing more hair!--but to wear grungy beaten-up clothing to show that he doesn't care about his appearance, it's just that he can't NOT be clean-shaven at this point.

Three episodes is usually what we give new shows. But with Season Three of the REAL Being Human starting next week . . . we'll see.
