Is anyone reading the new Hawkeye series?

I really like it so far (it's all of two issues in). The art is cool, the story is fun so far and it kind of has this neat indie vibe going for it along with the woohoo!superhero comics side of it. Plus, KATE! And also this, which just makes me giggle.

In other news, McKelvie and Gillian are doing Young Avengers?!?!  *sigh*  I'll totally read it, ( Read more... )

comics, geekery, hawkeye

Maybe I'm a horrible person, but I'm really digging the fact that so far, between the two of them, Clint is definitely the Fail!boat Hawkeye. And that she hangs out with him anyway.

And now I just heard that Coulson's going to be in the S.H.I.E.L.D. show, and my world is pretty much made of win from here on out. :)

Now I have to find them ... damn. I know nothing about comic book stores. I've been getting the graphic novels from the library. Except for Blindspot, that I just had to have. What is the new series?

IT's just called Hawkeye, issue 3 just came out this week (I get mine on the Comixology app, I think I heard B&N sells ecomics in their nook store now).

Here are the covers, if you're interested/if it helps. I'm guessing it'll be next year before the graphic novel comes out. So far, they've been really fun; the premise is "this is what Clint Barton does when he's not being an Avenger." So far, it's included (but is not limited to): spilling coffee, making a wall of crazy, hanging out with Kate!Hawkeye, BBQing on the roof with his neighbors, and rescuing a puppy. It's really adorable and funny and exciting at the same time.
