Last night, Goldfish woke me up about 17 times with water ballet. It didn't *hurt*. It was just enough pressing and jabbing to let me know something was in there and wasn't sleepy. I feel like I crossed over some sort of threshold yesterday. All of a sudden, it's like I can feel EVERY little squish and flip and stretch. Last night it was moving ( Read more... )

I'm so bummed I'm missing all this stuff. I've always been so excited for one of my close friends to get pregnant and how awesome it would be. I didn't get any friends going through the same thing when I had Jonah.
I am so happy for you!
I do agree though, that birthing classes are pretty much to help you not be scared. And yes, it prepares you. But it is true, giving birth is a really primal thing when you get down to it and you just end up doing what comes natural to you. I learned some stuff I wouldn't know otherwise, but it was also in the Bradly book I used. And I didn't bond with any of the other women in the class or anything. If I had a second, I wouldn't do any class.
