I sympathize; when I was in Seattle last year, these people were lost, and, as they asked for directions, they mentioned that they were from Chicago... I was like, "Oh, so am I; which neighborhood?" "Crystal Lake." OK, that is not Chicago; that's a bufu 'burb an hour away. Ugh.
