I really like the way you're slowly building things up in this story. The underlying tension of the mystery is being ratcheted up bit by bit, and it has a lovely effect on the tone and mood of this story.

You also do a great job of capturing how stir crazy Owen is getting in this situation. His voice really comes through, as does his snarkiness. Jack's balancing of his concern with humor is very fitting as well.

I'm very intrigued by the situation you're continuing to develop here, and I'm eager to see just what happens next. Fantastic job! This story is really engaging.
