I can't figure out why these quizzes are called "memes."  A meme is a self-replicating idea that tends to take on a life of its own and spread rapidly from person to person.

But here are my answers to this meme:

1.  How often do you dance in public?

Well, quizzes like this do spread rapidly from person to person. But they don't last, which is why I don't think they really qualify as memes. You could call them self-replicating, but they don't really take on much of a life.

Hi, I made my way here via public_health. Meme in blogland refers to these type of questionnaires that are all about "Me Me Me Me Me."

They are called 'memes' because people have never heard of Richard Dawkins or realize the actual definition of meme.

I say combat the ignorance by relabeling each 'meme' as quiz before passing it on.
