I found my potato masher and a few other random things that I couldn't live without...but could not find anything that would act as a tortilla press. I asked one of the workers if they had anything..she said "No, I"m sorry". I thanked her and was about ( Read more... )

While I cannot relate to your main story as I a) don't carry a purse because I'm a man and b) don't use reusable shopping bags because I hate the environment, I can relate to both the desire to possess an at-home tortilla press and the disappointment that these do not seem to be consumer items.

In the meantime, Chloe did find, at a little kitchen gadget shop up in Estes, a little fabric pouch in which you place your tortillas and microwave them for 30 seconds, making them soft and pliable.

Of course, I just now realized that you're probably talking about a press for making tortillas rather than a steamer a la Big City or Chipotle.

I know both Target and Bed Bath & Beyond have tortilla presses on their websites -- I wouldn't be surprised if at least BBB has it in-store.

Perhaps you could write SHOPPING BAG on the outside of your bag in sharpie! :) I am sorry that happened... the Europeans get it, but America... you are too advanced... or maybe old-school. ::shrug::

Yes, you do look suspicious. Suspiciously like someone i know who is supposed to let me know if she's around this week or this weekend to give me my fix for the next 6 months since that seems to be as often as we can see each other.

And also, I think I saw blond-haired blue-eyed cuties on the most recent FBI watch lists.
