not frightening to a young boy searching for comfort among a judgemental population
his conflict of serving an ideal, a lavish bombardment of judgement,
Yet this tree grows and lives vicariously through

that honestly made me teary eyed. wonderful. i think you would really enjoy books by Murakami...im reading them for my asian lit class but they are so fantastical and philosophical...each one has a message and distorts normal, fictional settings into something you would never expect. definitley try em out.
