oh, anthony. it's been nearly a year now. we've been through so much philosophy since our talks and walks in oxford. we need to meet soon.

have you defended your thesis yet?

i will submit mine to the committee on Monday.

I have, in fact, defended my thesis. I had a nice little chat with my advisor and another professor or two, and after grilling me about some of the finer points of Kant's Analytic, they passed my thesis with distinction.

It's a great relief to be done. My advisor seems pretty happy with the finished product, and he thinks it'll be nice for sending off to grad schools.

Good luck on Monday! I'm sure that after a whole year of defending tutorial essays at Oxford you'll have no problem facing down a few professor types at your defense.
