my company's hiring, though I'm not sure you'd want the consulting job. They're looking for people in NY and SF. The work is intense and it's entirely unlike studying philosophy, but it's lucrative and refreshing, too.
It's not strategy consulting, it's business consulting, which means that there's no excel modelling involved. There are some cool things you can take away from the job nevertheless. Send your resume to my work email (bberska@ezecastlesoftware.com) and I'll forward it to the powers that be. Would you prefer SF or New York? The SF office is 8 people and all of us are under 30. My boss is 24. The NY office is much bigger and it's run more like a trading pit, but I really enjoyed working there. Btw, there isn't much writing involved at all, apart from the odd email and report. There's a lot of phone time and a lot of figuring out problems on the fly. The coolest bit of the job is writing the occasional SQL query, which is like a functional logic proof. Take a look at the hiring page on my company's website, www.ezecastlesoftware.com. Also, while you're in Boston, I know that the Callidon Group is hiring. They're a small strategy consulting firm, one that I imagine would be really cool to work at. Google them.
yeah. people can be so weird and funny. and then they can be so horrible.
i love that you appear only to reassure me when i am down or to talk theory. after all, we havent actually been there for each other in so long.
well, i still think about you from time to time. and i always hope you're well.
i will contact you if my daze takes me to portland, oregon. i'd like to think we could have a something-or-other and then forget to turn right off of some highway because we're too busy catching up. we had something good going. cursed stubborness.
I don't have a subject. sorry.rob_unrealizedJuly 6 2006, 05:28:14 UTC
I do think we could have a something-or-other and then forget to turn left off of some Washington highway because we're too busy catching up, and talking about some hyperrealist. I also like to think that i'm leaning towards being a mature human being, transcending petty fictional grievances. I just miss you sometimes.
Post script: never trust a greek. Especially one with an ivy league education.
