I really, really like it. I like the quiet resigned sadness of it, but at the same time I find it slightly absurd and so it doesn't weigh on one as sad, more as musing.

Or...maybe I just like it because I secretly wish I could get away with naming a child Pedro. If I marry a Hispanic I can!

If I ever have a baby girl I'd want to name her Apolline after my French host family's little girl, because both the name and the little girl were adorable. But no one in America would pronouce it correctly, and that would ruin it.
So in conclusion: I sympathize.
