customer disservice

Sometimes I feel kind of sorry for bus drivers. They get a lot of stick and have to basically sit there and take it. Once, this thug got on without a ticket and when the driver wouldn't drive him anywhere without paying the man started screaming at him, saying he hoped he died. Crazy. That's one thing about moving to Leeds I am not happy about: the curse that is FirstBus (or WorstBus as we call it) will follow me. It could be worse, though: it has a monopoly in Bristol. There is no escape.

They're appalling! I honestly don't know how they can even think about hiring someone with no manners to do a face-to-face customer service role. And that's just using the buses, when I used to cycle to work the buses were always too close.
I used the coin on the bus this morning so in some small way I got them back. I have to hang onto these small victories (I'm tempted to reply to that snotty email telling them this).

I think you should! My friends and I wrote a letter to First in Bristol once complaining about "The X39" (an express route to Bath). It included such wonderful phrases as 'it is the route of all evil' and 'its superiority complex is simply not fare on the other buses'. We probably had more fun writing it than they had reading it.

I was considering telling them I was going to give marker pens to all the kids I work with and encourage them to grafitti, but then I got worried they'd sue me or something. The sad thing is I bet they didn't even notice the puns.
