Since I know I have such an exciting life, I'll let you decide if you want to hear about it or not!
This weekend was really nice. The weather was beautiful! Shawn and I took Connor and went for a walk on this trail that goes through a park, but turned around about half way because the mosquitoes were swarming around Connor. And us being first-time parents, we are completely paranoid and are now inspecting him for mosquito bites all the time and looking up symptoms of West Nile on WebMD.com!!
Shawn and I went and saw Bruce Almighty this weekend. I thought it was a little cheesy, but it definitely had it's funny moments. My husband, who cannot just go to a movie for fun anymore, but must completely analyze each and every movie to death! Editing errors, lack of chemistry between the actors, the philosophical meaning of the plot.....well...he thought it sucked!
I've decided that even though I love being at home with Connor, I need to be doing something else to make me feel like I'm accomplishing a little more than just laundry and diaper changing. I'm going to call Cal. State at Long Beach this week and see if there are any on-line classes available. I'd like to take a creative writing class or maybe another editing class. Eventually, I'd like to finish my technical writing degree, and at the rate of one class a semester, I should be able to finish by the time Shawn is ready to retire!! :)
We talked to Alice again this weekend. She apologized (kind of) and when we got off the phone, I sent her an e-mail to clue her in on where I was coming from. Anyway...long story short...we may be finally making some progress in this situation.
Well, I"m going to run. I have two chapters left in my book, and maybe I could actually finish it before Connor wakes up!
