I still have my first cell phone, purchased at Target in 2004. It's pretty crappy. :-) I got it because I am a commitment-phobe, and it's a "pay as you go" plan, which I really liked. Just pay for what you use, and nothing you don't -- and no contract ( Read more... )

Alltel is crap in Georgia. Don't even.

On the other hand, Alltel is the only carrier I can get service in most of the parts of Georgia I travel to/through. And we all know how well mom could get ahold of me a games!

Grab a couple of people at the next game who have cell phones. See how their service is.

I can actually usually get signal with T-Mobile at both sites (though not all the way between Atlanta and IS). Really, I've had very few complaints with them overall. I'd just like a better phone, and while I'm at it I figured it couldn't hurt to shop around to see if there was a better deal out there.
