YAY! Stephan has a tenative date for R&R Aug 30th though September 13. Which would be great because Averie turns 1 on the 8th of September. They will fly him to Dallas-Fort Worth and then a roundtrip ticket is $160 to fly into St. Louis. Better than a I thought it was going to be. i'm jeeeeeaaaalous! i want to go to disneyworld! i've only been to disneyland...maybe someday though :)

Thats almost the same time as Bens R&R. Were going on vacation too! It makes it alot easier once you have that light at the end of the tunnel!

One thing i like about it is that is past the halfway mark. So when he leaves to go back it won't be a whole 6 months till he is back. The 1st time apart is the longest.

Where are you going on vacation?

Were going to some kind of resort. We arent sure where quite yet but probably aruba.

Yeah he only has a little over 2 months once he goes back in August!

Ooooh fancy! I would love to do something like that, but I'm not sure how much relaxing it would be with 2 kids under the age of 4.

Doug will have been gone for a year at that point, save his R&R. Let's hope it's home for good!! I can't imagine having to go though this more than one time.

I wasn't sure how long he had been gone. What does he do? After a year Stephan better be home too!

I'm so excited and happy for you! Hopefully I'll get some news on my hubby's R&R soon now. Last I heard he put in his request for the month he wanted, but he couldn't pick exact days. And as far as that goes the month may not even be what he requested. It all depends on the needs of all the soldiers around him since we do not have children yet. He is trying to get R&R later than earlier so the second part is easier.

Your vacation trip sounds wonderful and I agree, this time spent with their father is more important than preschool and it's only a week. Hope you guys have tons of fun!

The most of Stephan's R&R will during the 7th month of him gone so once he goes back I'll only have 5 months to wait for him to be back.

There is another guy in the shop that asked for days around the day his wife is due with their first baby. I really hope he gets it otherwise she wants me to be there for the delivery, I have never been to a birth, other than my own children!
