I don't believe it and neither will some of you.

It's an absolute horrible, filthy, rotten, and plain disgusting announcement.

I'm going back to work for Tower Records.

labels don't give out promos to the big corp stores anymore...they approve playlists that the corp create's themselves...5 years in best buy music dept hell taught me that...I'm a slow learner....hahah..

That's not true for Tower dude.. I still have several friends who work there who are receiving new releases from the big labels. Tower's in-store play is chosen by the manager in charge.. the label's don't know whether or not the CD will played in the store. They used to be given to the buyers in order to promote the release for an increased buy. The reps still come in and dump off promos daily.

i came back to work in l.a. for the company i was soooooooooooo happy to never have to work for again and have been here 9 months or so basically hatin' every minute. all i can say is that you will escape eventually. hang in there. i'm hoping to get out for good in a month or so after moving up to the bay (again).

it happens.

I worked for them from 96-02... when I got out, it was like being released from prison. I said I'd NEVER EVER go back...

Well it would only be part time anyway. I have an opportunity else where, but it's not available to me until October.
