I keep feeling on and off sick, with a hugely sore throat that swells up. Can't figure out if it's a cold or allergies. This isn't fun. Want it to stop!

However, the recent paikus (pun + haiku = paiku) from Kurt are very fun. He sent these out tonight to my parents and me. The last one's my favorite. He wrote:

I'm wondering if you have what I seemed to have had every summer but this one. I *believe* I had allergies?? (I have no known allergies otherwise.) The last few summers, I had a really hard time swallowing. It was almost like I had a sore throat but not. I just couldn't really swallow. I nearly choked down food at times. I never felt truly cold-sick (no high temperature, no runny/stuffy nose), but I just had a semi sore throat and couldn't swallow.

So far this summer, I haven't experienced this problem, so I'm not sure if my body became immuned to those summer-allergies or I'm just taking better care of my body/self.
