I once wrote a manga about vampires like a girl going through the "change" and it was really hard to kinda stick to the vague outlines but also make plausible, like allowing them to come out during the day and stuff. As much as I hate smeyer at least she had SOME original ideas, sucky ones but original at that.

Honestly though I read twilight and half of new moon. Its as awful as everyone says it is.
