Thank you so much Krysta for your encouragement. He is truly making you a Godly women! I have been feeling tugs on my heart to get back into more serious study of the Word. I want to check this Beth chick out. Your not the first to recommend her studies. :)

This is sooo true. Maybe it would be beneficial for me to focus on thanking Him for all the good things instead of allowing my guilt for enjoying them drive me from Him. It's all from His hand, right?

Hi Jen,
I've often heard that our greatest moments of Spiritual apathy comes when things are going well. It's during our harder times and trials that we more readily come before God. I think we are meant to enjoy our life, though not worship life. In other words, it's OK to enjoy life, have dreams, think about our futures, and not have to be in prayer 6 hours a day and studying the Bible another 6 hours a day, but at the same time we do need to keep God in the front of our minds in all we do. Sounds like a pretty neat balancing act :)

I think I feel guilty because I feel like He should be giving me more "whammies", too. Like I'm not really holy unless I'm suffering or something. I guess for me the verse that says "Should I accept the good from God and not bad?" (paraphrased) needs to work in reverse for me. My theme Psalm for the last year 1/2 is Psalm 37. Once again some of it rings in my ears...
"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." verses 3-4

Ever heard it said that there are three types of Christians? One's in the midst of a trial. One's just coming out of a trial. One's about to head into a trial.
