It is really bizarre... I think he's ok, I don't think he's even aware of it to be honest...(well I hope not anyway..!)

Poor little Big! I've not had any of the rats react like that before, but one of my cats reacted the same way from an injection in his scruff last year. I thought someone had tortured him and given him a cigerette burn while he'd been outside. I felt horrible. But the vet told me it was just a reaction and he healed up just fine.

I'm glad you have a more sympathetic vet now ^_^

I've got to find homes for my 6 youngest girls. If you've not been reading my journal, I seperated from my husband 2 weeks ago and he move out. Its not really a bad thing, as far as I'm concerned. But. I have a mortgage to find for the next 6 months while I finish college. The only way I can see is to get a lodger in the spareroom. I might have a friend who's going to move in and help, but it means that some of the rats have to go to make space for her :(
