Oh, *Holmes*. I think Watson, perhaps, does. Why else do you think you're forgiven yet again, dear man?

When Holmes presses back against him, fitting their bodies together like two disparate halves of something cracked and fragile, he tucks his chin against Holmes’ hair and breathes deep.

Just lovely.

Oh Holmes, indeed... as you say, I suspect that Watson is quite a bit more astute than Holmes gives him credit for.

Thanks very much, and I'm delighted that it pleased ;)

Yes, poor boys - God forbid they sit down and discuss things like normal people ;)

Thanks very much, and glad you enjoyed it.

Somewhere, in the part of his mind that still clings to such senseless, futile sentiments, he hopes that Watson knows. So beautiful. It left me with tears in my eyes.

Oh, dear - tears!

*passes the tissues*

Poor Holmes... he may wonder, but I imagine that Watson's quite a bit more astute than he realizes. The fact that he stays, in spite of everything, must count for something ;)
