Maple Bacon Donuts: how I learned to stop worrying and love the angioplasty.

Yesterday L and I stopped by the fabulous local cafe in order to grab a few treats before driving about an hour north. On an impulse I got one Maple Bacon Donut for L and me to share. THEY SHOULD BE SO ILLEGAL.

When the weather is nice, Harvard has a farmer's market once a week. And Union Square Donuts comes, and they have a Maple Bacon donut (that consists of carefully placing about 5 1-inch squares of very thick cut bacon on top of the maple glazing, rather than crumbled bacon). Last year it became my weekly treat. STILL SO BAD OMG.

I bought one on Friday to have with my Sunday coffee. Headdesk.

PS. A tangent. . .well, maybe not a tangent because they would so love these donuts! The bears are already out hereabouts.
