I don't know, but a long time ago in undergrad we figured out that if you had a song in your head you couldn't get rid of, to start singing Suzanne Vega's song Tom's Diner, and it would knock anything clear out. Of course, then you had du du DU du dududuDU du du DU du DU du DU du in there over and over, but sometimes that's better than American Pie, which actually kind of makes me want to kill somebody.
