I don't get the joke.

I used to get called on to read the document aloud at Fourth of July parties, and would work myself into a froth at the listing of ye olde offenses of King George. At my best, I got people to yell FIE and SHAME. I'm kinda partial to the bit about transporting large armies of mercenaries to complete the works of death, destruction and tyranny scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages. What's your pet grievance?
