You know what's still not a good idea?

Putting a can of soda in the freezer for quick cooling and forgetting about it for a couple of hours.

Fortunately it exploded on the counter, not in the freezer.  Not too much of a mess, and it's in the sink now.

In other news, I passed a stash of bubble wrap in Staples today and thought fondly of cass404 .

*facepalm*

Was it a good deal? Clearly, I should stock up...

Sorry the can went explosive on you.

Heh, I should have checked the pricing.

It's funny how often that happens - that I see/read/hear something that makes me think of someone from here or the b.org. Doesn't even have to be someone I've interacted with much - I still know random factoids about them! That happens to all of us, right? Right??!?

Um, no.

Except for where it totally happens to me too.

One winter I decided it would be a terrific idea to store a case of soda in the back of my then not operational Volkswagen bus. And it was a great idea. Cold soda whenever I wanted it without taking up a bunch of space in the fridge. Until that one really cold night...

D'oh!
