Well, I have to say, I enjoyed watching SMG again! Is she still SMG, or did she changer her name? Obviously I didn't observe the credits very well. Anyway.
I tried watching it, but lost interest after Siobhan went over the side. I agree with you about the weakness of the basic concept. If it was scheduled at a time when I have nothing else to watch (which is most of the schedule, alas) then I might try it again, but it's on the one night when I have a surfeit of things to watch.
I think it was so over-the-top soapy that I didn't mean the wild plot twists. I thought that as good as it was to see SMG, she seemed a little stiff, like she still needs to ease in some more (or maybe I'm just too used to her as Buffy -- this is sort of sad S7 Buffy all the time, which was NOT my favorite).
Some of the glossing over details was annoying, though -- how did she know where to go to half the places she went? Also, so much is clearly assumed that Bridget knows about Siobhan -- that she was married to Andrew, Andrew's daughter, etc.
But it's sort of ridiculous fun with costume and set porn, so I'll keep watching for now. And I do love SMG! I'm interested in more about her and Malcolm, really.
I wrote off her stiffness to playing a character who was just really uncomfortable in every situation she was in, from the rehab at the beginning, to the guarded witness, to the returning blacksheep sister, to the imposter. It is also possible that I give SMG a TON of slack, because she played one of my favorite characters. Ha!
There's just a shit ton of sloppy, glossed over stuff, which is eye rolly, but, yes, SMG, several of the other actors and the pretty places and clothes -- I have to give it some more watches.
I have to rewatch the end, because it confused me a bit. I hadn't considered that we were looking at Siobain, but her manner seemed very self-assured, which I thought was weird, so maybe that's it. Good call.
>I'm curious to know what happened with Sean, though it saddens me to think that the wee bairn is no longer with us, which seems to be the implication<
Me too! Although I'm sort of bracing myself because what it was can't be good.
Right? Maybe he's with his father, who kidnapped him while he was under Bridgette's chemical-dependent state. So, he's not dead, but Bridgette feels guilty for letting him get taken. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

And I forgot to add that, on a shallow note, I enjoyed looking at the pretty clothes and shoes.

I did like the differences between Bridget and Siobhan, though. She made them clear.
