Is there a cooler character than Death on TV? I do not believe so. I cannot stop smiling about the eclipse he MADE. He made an eclipse. Because they needed one. I'll make another one. 3:59a Sunday morning. Don't be late.
Eclipses - you wait for them, planning all the while so you can thwart the Big Evil that is also planning for them. You know you only have that one, brief, (un)shining moment to work your plan. If you miss it, woe unto you and probably humanity. Also, there's the small matter of planetary and lunar alignment. But, you know, whatever. He's Death. He's got this.
So much love. I cold go on about that scene, but you saw it. You know,
Cas, oh, Cas. Yeah, you did overreach. So, do we believe the leviathan(s?)? Is he dead? I kind of think maybe so, but, then, demons lie, Old Ones probably do, too. Hell, every... thing lies. It was nice to see good, old Cas again, if only for a moment, and it was nice to see that Dean et al. were going to help him, take him back. Aw.
Having said that, OMG, leviathan!Cas looks like so much creepy-ass, sassy, evil fun! Oh, Misha, you do the evil well, don't you? Good for you, and I hope you have as much fun with it as it looks like you're having.
Sam, you break my heart. You just don't want to give up on people you love, do you? Out there calling Cas. And, well, it worked, didn't it? Don't ever lose that, dude. It's part of why I'm a Sam girl! And trying to be all brave and tough it out once you realized it was the one thing Dean was hoping for - that you were OK. Where'd you go, Sammy? Don't listen to Lucifer. He's unreliable.
But, being a Sam girl does NOT mean I don't love Dean, because, oh, I do. So much. Working on the car, trying to duck and cover for a bit, hoping against hope that Sam was OK. Still being angry at Cas because it hurt, the whole betrayal. Noodle. And, my god man, you are lovely to behold. Your crow's feet slay me. Slay. Me.
Bobby! Trench coat on a tortilla! Your... Honor! You were awesome. I have to confess, there were time last season when I thought you had been written a little too, too. But I thought you were perfect in the premier.
What else, what else. Well, I did enjoy god!Cas's choices for smiting. What can I say, fictional smiting is OK by me.
And in conclusion: Made. An. Eclipse.
