Orlando sat in the make-up chair, carefully swiping at his face with a damp cloth, trying to remove the layers of make-up and grime that felt caked onto his skin, while trying not to hear the too-friendly conversation of the green-eyed man in the chair next to his and the woman who seemed to be lingering over the task of removing the green-eyed man's wig.
A deep chuckle from the chair next to his followed by a high-pitched giggle caused only a slightly pause in his work before he returned to the task at hand with even more vigor, leaning closer to the mirror in concentration.
Concentrating hard on coming up with something to say to make the green eyes of the man next to him turn his way and concentrating even harder on pretending he did not care.
Another minute and this time a shriek caused Orlando to whip his head to the left just in time to see the green-eyed man next to him pull his hand out of the woman's blouse, a hair pin clutched in his fingers.
And as Orlando slammed out of the trailer and stormed down the steps, he concentrated on telling himself that he did not care.
