I could write it better than you ever felt it

So I know I committed to it, and I promise I'm sticking to it. I haven't even started yet but I'm not looking forward to starting a running schedule. Why can't getting in shape be easier? Not to mention, why does my knee have to suck ass that I'm worried about not even being able to run that much? Ugh, this is going to suck. I don't really want to ( Read more... )

Starting is the hardest part rebornasphoenix May 15 2007, 18:34:16 UTC
Just try not to focus on the running part, and focus more on your ultimate goal. I pretty much did that for me. I've got a picture of myself in my head that I want to look like by the end of summer, and it motivates me to keep going.

As far as your knee goes, if it becomes a problem, we can choose another running location that would be easier on them. The beach would be a slighty harder workout, but it would be a lot less stress on your feet and knees. But the view would be pretty nice.

Also music helps... A lot. I listen to rock music when I run and it helps me keep focused. Also helps to set small goals. 2 laps around Gleason is a mile, so if you keep a time in mind, you'll be able to focus more.

Aw thanks! And if you wanna run ahead of me, by all means do so. I definitely dont' wanna keep you from your time goal. That reminds me though. I need a before picture of what I look like now, and compare it at the end of the summer. I think then I'll really know it was worth it.

dude we totally should! let me know about your cat. my mom's a sucker for sympathy when it comes to animals, so we might be able to take her in (though we have two male cats...though both neutered as well..we'll have to see how that goes) but I mean you could always lie about having a cat...Unless she's an outdoor one that is. do you ever go to warped tour? if so, we should totally go together...i try to go most years, it's so fun

If the cat thing doesn't work out wherever we go Roz said she would take her, so I probably would go that route and I totally want to go to Warped Tour this year!!
