I am sitting in my father's chemistry class at the high school, while he teaches about electron valence- i.e. which level the electrons are in. The elementary school talent show was last night. In my mind, the best act was an 8-year-old who got up in a pink shirt and baseball cap and happily sang Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Our friend's dog just got out of the fence and got run over. He didn't make it. He was an awesome dog. He was half-lab, half-boxer, big and drooly and full of love.
