And yeah, I wasn't that sore either, and I don't think it's because the class was any less demanding. Hooray for beach handstands! And I've incorporated the inchworm exercise and the leg lift/crunch thing, and a whole bunch of straddle stretching, into my regular workouts. Wait...practice makes you stronger?! That can't be right.
I do the inchworm too! And yes, contrary to all of my understanding of the way of the world, it seem that practices DOES make one stronger...What an odd universe we inhabit.
Poor S with the backward rolls...You'll get them. There's just something so deeply counterintuitive about them, and the rhythm of the lift of the butt and the push of the hands is SO specific. I have no doubts that you'll get all of it. It's just yoga in motion, after all...
