Memo From the Political Affairs Office mixer2435 October 19 2006, 20:06:25 UTC
From: J. Moriarty
To: jenna_n

That said, due to reorganization within the Department, I am unable to comment on any sort of political query until 2007. Check back at that time for political ravings.

Thanks
J. Moriarty

That's a GREAT idea about the FCC, which is in need of serious reform anyway. Fun fact: the American public owns the airwaves. We've let the FCC do a crap job of regulating them, but they're ours. We could totally put your idea into practice. Think how many other problems that would solve. I mean, I'm sure it would create a lot of problems too, as the rich politicians consulted with strategic marketing firms about other sneaky ways to get their messages out. But it'd sure as hell be a step in the right direction. And it'd be hard for an anti-big-government Republican or a free-speech democrat to look us in the eye and say no.

Whoa, seriously, what would happen if we tried that?

Do I have a new nonprofit here? Or a novel? Or both?
