Who wears short shorts?

Not me, apparently.

From gblvr, a meme:
take the major fanfic catagories and write something for each using ten words or less.

I’m on a Leverage kick right now.

Angst:

Sophie turned away as Nate poured.

Six words. I can do this. Of course, that was an easy one.

Fluff:

Hardison's reaction to the marshmallows cracked me right up.

Yay! You're watching it too? beadslut got me hooked, because she saw Chris Kane and followed him. I'm late to the party as usual, but oh, from the first episode, with Alec and the Princess Leias and Parker and the bunny, they had me hooked.

You know you wanna write the last two. Or maybe that's me who wants to write the last two. Which one do you want to write (tempt tempt tempt) The one for friendship pretty much stands on its own, I think. 8-)

I've only seen the 3 eps from the middle of the season that the network made available on their website, but omfg am I ever hooked. I checked it out to see Kane (of course!) and also Gina Bellman, since I loved her on the Brit version of Coupling with JackDav, but the whole cast is so wonderful and the show is such fluffy, goofy fun that yeah.

Hmmmmm... delicious as the smut would undoubtedly be, I'd vote for you writing the humor one. *g* Looks like a great setup for hijinks.

(and I don't get the Friendship one - apparently the eps I saw weren't enough background. But I'll get it in ~2 weeks omg!)

Not really a spoiler: Sophie is a cringingly horrible actress when she's on a stage. It's established in the pilot (Gina Bellman really is spectacularly funny, and this role lets her stretch her wings much more than playing Jane did, though "Jane and the Truth Snake" from, I think season three of Coupling? Since Season four was the one with Not!Jeff.) is painfully funny. so that's the gag, that Sophie can only con, she can't actually act. The Orphanage Job references it, too.

Watching from the beginning gives you more of Nate's "the point of being a functional alcoholic is remaining functional" character arc. Not sure where they are going with that in season two.

Heh, I may have to pick up the DVD set as a birthday present, to get the behind the scenes, though some of those are available via TNT's website, including the making of a fight scene.

I may actually combine the two. Think think think.

Here, you'll appreciate this. I wrote this for beadslut but I didn't know anyone else on my flist was watching Leverage. Lemme go find it.

Humor - I giggled. ALOT.

I just found Leverage last week (and by found, I mean my friends have been talking about it for months and I finally listened long enough to go look it up.) and binged. Only 3 more eps to see, and already the DVD is on my wishlist.

oh good, it's not just me. 8-)

I'm late to the party too, because like a goofus, I resisted when user was trying to tempt me with the pretty. I'm hoping I'm just missing a corner of fandom that's writing in this -verse, because Merlin just doesn't catch my attention the same way. Granted, Anthony Head is prettier than Timothy Hutton, but I'd rather watch Eliot beat up guys in slomo while Alec drops his bag (OMG, that scene. They had me hooked at that scene! A quarter into the pilot. Yes, I'm shameless.) than Uther growl at people.

Do you know who's writing? I don't have cable, so I'm no good with discussing current episodes, but I'd love to know who's putting out fic.

I am so right there with you on the slowmo goodness of Eliot, and I have an unholy love of how awkwardly wacky Parker is, plus Hardison and his 'Age of the Geek, baby' always cracks me up.

No idea where the fic is yet. I think that might be my mission at work today.
