Assumptions about Bisexuality

Bisexuals often get ignored in both heteronormative and queer culture. Upon meeting a bisexual person, an assumption is always made: Either the bisexual is assumed to be straight or assumed to be gay. You know, it always bugged me at work how we would flirt with each other all the time, but because you had a boyfriend, everyone assumed I was the "gay" one.

Even when I didn't have a boyfriend everyone thought you were gay and I wasn't!!! And I never understood why.
