costume disaster

So this costume has proved to be absolutely not worth the money I saved buying it. After only wearing it twice, the fabric has turned shimmering gold and silver to black in the places where I sweat (i.e. my butt is black). So I ordered this metallic fabric spray paint online. Worked great - for the first spray or so. Then the gold can seized up

Ah, if only you didn't live so far away. I really wish I could help you out with your costuming woes!

Now if I could just find a bra belt set I like at a price I can afford. It seems like every time I get my eye on something the color I like goes out of stock or the price goes up. I love costuming, but it would be nice to actually buy something for once, instead of dying the death of a thousadn beads (and a thousand finger pricks!)
