Wow... KICK ASS concert. We just got back from Tori Amos at DAR constitution hall. Incredible. I have been waiting over 10 years to see her. I wish I had gone before. Awesome. I got to see her just shortly after I discovered her, waaaay back in 1994. She only had two albums out back then (not counting that unfortunate first project), so most of my favorites made it into the concert. She did some interesting covers for her encore: Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You," and a version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" that actually got me to like that song.

I definitely know what you mean about her songs tying themselves to certain times in our lives. I can't hear the opening chords of "Pretty Good Year" or "Silent All These Years" without very vivid memories, mostly emotions, coming to the surface.

You lucky duck! Seeing Tori is on my List O' Things to Do Before I Die. At least one of my fovorite people got to enjoy here. I hear the love show is superb.

Ed do you have the Covering 'Em album? It's got that Smells Like Teen...as well as some Zeppelin and Stones covers that I really love. I liked Strange Little Girls, but Covering is live tracks, it's a much different feel.
